Night Court Hottie Markie Post Goes Gay on Tonight's 'Man Up'
If you’re over 30 you may have once dreamed of seeing Markie Post, from the hit ‘80s series, Night Court, play a lesbian. Though she’s unlikely to get naked (sadly), she’ll be on tonight’s episode of ABC’s Man Up!
Man Up, which features a trio of male friends who are modern, (mostly) metrosexual men who can’t live up to the masculine legacy of their father’s generation. The phrase “man up” is sort of working ethos in the weekly sitcom narrative. One of the dudes, Kenny, is a comic relief, a chunky, hairy, video game playing man-child, but somehow he landed a girlfriend, Jane, earlier this season and now he’s about to meet her moms.
Yes, plural. Markie Post and Alison La Placa (who played Rachel’s randy boss on Friends) are lesbian shrinks who own a coffee shop (in today’s economy, one must multi-task) which means Kenny is intimidated. As his insecurities reach their peak, hilarity ensues. Or doesn’t’, you’ll have to watch to find out.
But, like I said, Markie Post plays a lesbo. That’s worth a gander no matter what.
