Gaybee Gift Guide

All of the makers and sellers of the following products were thrilled to be included in this gift guide for gay parents, so feel good supporting them with your patronage: We’ve come a long way baby!

Essential Gear

Move over Bugaboo, Quinny, the brand synonymous with “stroller” in many European countries, is taking the US malls and sidewalks by storm. The Buzz 4 ($630) features head-turning styling and colors and impressive hydraulic fold-up technology, and an optional Buzz Box for extra storage.

For cruising in style, baby can sit pretty with the top parent-rated Priori snug and secure convertible car seat ($199), available in delicious colors like Citro, for tots 5 to 40 pounds. www.quinny.com  and www.maxi-cosi.com

Music to Baby Ears

Give the music lover on your list a change of pace from typical sleepy baby CDs with Alphabet Rockers ($15), a hip (hop) educational music CD and recipient of the 2008 Parents Choice Award, produced by lesbian Dawn Richardson, formerly of the 4NonBlondes, and Kaitlyn McGaw, a San Francisco singer. www.CDBaby.com and www.Amazon.com

I am totally digging the baby hat with the
rainbow. It kind of makes me laugh because
its not very in-your-face but definitely
makes a statement. I am impressed with the
design of the stuff on this list - having
gone to school for product design, and having
had projects to design kids stuff, I tend to
be pretty critical, lol. This is a good list
- kind of makes me want a kid as well.... But
until that day comes (far in the future),
I'll just have to spoil all my friend's kids.
Lucky them!
