Lindsay Lohan Sues E*Trade for $100 Million Over Baby Ad

Lindsay Lohan is suing an online share-trading firm for $100 million, claiming that the "milkaholic" baby in the commercial, named Lindsay, was modeled after her.
Lohan, who obviously has had troubles over cocaine possession and drunk driving, alleges that the online brokerage breached her rights by casting a character that shares her first name.
According to Reuters, Lohan alleges that E*Trade's baby in the ad whom is named Lindsay, improperly invoked her "likeness, name, characterization, and personality" without permission, violating her privacy rights.
In her lawsuit filed Monday in a New York court, the 23-year-old hot mess sought $50 million of compensatory damages and $50 million of exemplary damages. She also demanded that E*Trade stop running the commercials and turn over all copies to her.
The ad was first broadcast during last month's Super Bowl and features a spoof video chat between two babies. In it, a baby boy apologizes to his girlfriend through a video chat for not calling her the night before because he was on E*Trade.
The camera switches to the girl, who asks suspiciously, "And that milkaholic Lindsay wasn't over?"
Stephanie Ovadia, Lohan's lawyer, told the New York Post, "Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit.
"They used the name Lindsay. They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."
Ovadia added that it was a "single-name" recognition such as celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Madonna.
Right.
A spokesman for Grey Group, which the Post said produced the E*Trade ad, told the newspaper the "Lindsay" in the ad was named after a member of its account team.

celebs are like high on ego.. Do we not have
any positive young queer celebs who speaks
intelligently, actually are working on good
projects, and who have not been on drugs or
have become an alcoholic?
Really, c'mon
LiLo.
She's not going win this legal round.
She needs to be working.

Common Name
Really, Lindsay? My name happens to be
Lindsey. When I saw the commercial my
reaction was that they chose the name because
it was popular in the 80s, so now more and
more 20-somethings have that name. I
definitely didn't think of Lindsay Lohan's
substance abuse problems. She needs to chill
out because I have a feeling that name is
going to be used more and more in television
and film-- and it will have nothing to do
with her!
