An Evening with Women: Live on the Red Carpet

An Evening with Women is an annual event that raises much-needed funds for the women-specific services of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. This year's event, held for the second year in the posh International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, will be steeped in rock 'n' roll chic and include a hosted reception, dinner, star-studded show and auction of unique, exclusive and exotic items.

L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center programs and services supported by An Evening with Women include women's health and medical, legal assistance, domestic violence prevention & education, cultural programs, self-enrichment courses, social events and discussion groups.

This year, the event will be hosted by Gina Gershon with other entertainment including a special performance by Heart and Linda Perry, an appearances by Renee Zellweger and Sarah Silverman and dinner by ce-lesbian chef Jamie Lauren.

For more information on the event, visit the event website.

Simplyann
I'm sorry you were less than happy with what
we were able to accomplish. I happened to
have sprained my ankle just hours before so I
was limited to what I could cover.

I know
it's easy to throw stones but I urge you to
consider there may always be a bigger
picture.
Thanks for your time.

wtf?
What is with people being so critical? It's
not like they pay to go on to websites. i
love how people get so uptight about stuff on
a site like they forked over 6 bucks for a
magazine. if you don't like it, don't watch
it. It's not like you really went out of your
way to click on a link. LAZY!!I'm just happy
sites like this exist for people who
otherwise don't get to hear about gay and
lesbian happenings.

Everybody else could do so much better...I
think if they could they should be doing it.

Appreciate all you do
Tracy,
There are always loud mouths who talk
rather than do. Shewired is a "doer" and
simplyann is a "loud mouth talker." Let her
rant. There are more people who appreciate,
like me, what you and the Shewired staff do.
Thanks,
Tami

Thanks for the coverage you were able to get,
it was very cool to have a glance inside the
event. I was kind of hoping for an inside
look of Renee Zellweger. What did she do?
What did she say while onstage?
