Actress, singer, and former Fly Girl Jennifer Lopez may have inked a deal to join the judges' panel for the 10th season of American Idol.
As comedian Ellen DeGeneres and songwriter-producer Kara DioGuardi exit the show, Lopez is reportedly "excited" about her new gig, People magazine reports.
Lopez's longtime manager Benny Medina set up the deal to replace founding judge Simon Cowell, who announced he would move on to his new reality talent show, the U.S. version of The X Factor. Randy Jackson remains the only judge whose job has gone untouched since the show's premiere in 2002.
