It looks like coming out of the closet during November's Prop. 8 protests hasn't hurt Wanda Sykes' career. The wickedly funny -- now out -- lesbian landed her own Fox show.
The hour-long talk show, modeled similarly to Bill Maher's HBO show, would air at 11 p.m. on Saturdays and fill the gap left by MadTV, which was recently canceled, Broadcasting and Cable reported.
Sykes' show would include field segments and panel discussions.
The stand-up comic and actress currently stars with her pal Julia Louis-Dreyfus on The New Adventures of Old Christine.
