Julianne Moore Channels Sarah Palin for Game Change: Trailer Drops
Since her auspicious debut on the national political stage during the run-up to the 2008 election former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been skewered by Gina Gershon and more famously by Tina Fey. Now, Julianne Moore is the latest actress to embody the tireless self-promoter and erstwhile politician Palin in HBO’s Game Change. And the trailer has just dropped.
While The Kids are All Right star Moore will play a decidedly less ironic Palin – if that’s possible – than Fey and Gershon, from the looks of the trailer, she appears to nail Palin’s trademark voice and physicality.
In recent years HBO has taken on topical films including Recount, Too Big Too Fail and now Game Change. The film also stars Woody Harrelson and Ed Harris – doing an uncanny John McCain – and out American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson. Game Change airs on HBO in March.

And just for fun, here’s Gershon, who became the first actress to skewer Palin:
