Ellen DeGeneres announced on her talk show Friday that five commercials she shot for her partnership with JCPenney will air during Sunday’s Oscars’ telecast.

The actress and comedian announced early this month that she’d partnered with the retail giant to be its new spokesperson, a move that immediately spurred the antigay group One Million Moms into threatening to boycott JCPenney if DeGeneres weren’t fired.

"By jumping on the pro-gay bandwagon, JCPenney is attempting to gain a new target market and in the process will lose customers with traditional values that have been faithful to them over all these years,” One Million Moms’ blog read.

Responding to One Million Moms, GLAAD launched the Stand Up For Ellen Campaign and at least one unlikely ally, conservative talk show host Bill O’Reilly, leapt to JCPenney’s and DeGeneres’ defense regarding the partnership.

On Friday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show DeGeneres said she’s proud of her work with JCPenney and of the commercials slated to air in just two days. While she could not show the commercials in full DeGeneres did air a couple of “outtakes” from commercials she supposedly shot including one in ancient Rome and one in a Victorian-era hat shop.
