Clementine Ford is starring in a new play, Phantoms Go Down, by Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim (Ford’s real-life sister), which opens at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles on April 1st!

Phantoms Go Down chronicles the journey of three siblings as they make their way down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to scatter their mother’s ashes. Along the way, the youngest sister, Rosalind, snorts their mother’s ashes and becomes possessed by her ghost. As the other siblings strive to get their mother’s ashes to Baja and free their sister from possession, they are forced to confront the ghosts (literal and figurative) of their childhood.

The dark comedy explores themes of memory, family, and loss while the siblings fight a hilarious and dangerous cast of characters along the way.

Phantoms Go Down is directed by Cindy Marie Jenkins. The cast features Ford, as well as June Carryl, McKerrin Kelly, Kellie Matteson, Cyrus Wilcox and Mark McClain Wilson.

Tickets are available for $15 from the Bootleg Theater. Performances are April 1, 2012 at 6:30pm, April 8 at 6:30pm, April 15 at 2:30pm and 6:30pm, and April 22 at 2:30pm and 6:30pm. Get more information from the Phantoms Go Down website, and like Phantoms Go Down on Facebook to get updates!
