Lindsay Lohan Responds to Rosie O'Donnell's Anti Lindsay-Playing-Liz Remarks
Button pusher Rosie O’Donnell got on the Lindsay Lohan should not play Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime movie bandwagon during an appearance on The Today Show earlier this week, and Tuesday night Lindsay responded to Rosie’s remarks at a Star Magazine party, according to Access Hollywood.
“It’s funny that someone you don’t know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing,” said Lindsay, who is confirmed to star in the Lifetime film Liz & Dick as icon Elizabeth Taylor.
The comments Lindsay referred to were Rosie’s frank remarks in which she said, "I feel very sorry for her. I think she needs a lot of help. She needs a lot of time away. She’s had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she’s not in a place to work.”
Rosie went on to say, “The last thing she did good she was sixteen...I don’t think she’s right for the role, and I don’t think she’s capable at this point to portray that character.”
In her interview with Access Hollywood Tuesday Lindsay said that she first met Rosie when she was a child star.
“You know, I did one of my first interviews with her when I was little. I was so excited,” Lindsay said. When Access Hollywood interviewer Shaun Robinson asked if Rosie’s comments changed her opinion of the comic and talk show host Lindsay replied that Rosie should, “base her opinions when she meets someone.”
