Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster is slated to executive produce and direct Angie’s Body, a mob-themed project for Showtime, according to Deadline.

While Foster has had several successes behind the camera on the big screen including Little Man Tate and Home for the Holidays she’s only directed a Tales from the Darkside episode and executive produced the 1998 Showtime film The Baby Dance for television. Most  recently she directed Mel Gibson in The Beaver.

Written by Heores and Jericho scribe Rob Fresco Angie’s Body focuses on the female head of a mob-like crime family, although there is no word yet on who will play the mob boss.

Having started out as a child actor in films including Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and Taxi Driver, Foster went on to win two Academy Award for best actress, one for The Accused and the other for The Silence of the Lambs. Foster recently starred in Carnage and next up she's costarring in the sci-fi flick Elysium.
