Former warrior princess Lucy Lawless is slated for a multi-episode arc on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, she Tweeted, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Xena and Spartacus star will appear on the critically acclaimed comedy as a single mother who seeks help from the Parks and Rec department only to discover her strong attraction to Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman).

"I am so thrilled to work with the #ParksandRecreation crew,” Lawless Tweeted. “I am always amazed by the Acting and writing. It's kooky, ironic and elegant.”

Lawless will appear on the Amy Poehler starrer beginning October 4.  The series is her first TV gig since her character was killed off on Spartacus at the end of the last season, according to THR.

While not on screen this year Lawless has been busy this year as an eco-warrior. She was arrested with Greenpeace activists in February aboard an oil drilling ship that was headed for the arctic.
