Cynthia Nixon, who married Christine Marinoni earlier this year, says “no chicken” when it comes to Chick-fil-A, according to The Huffington Post’s Evan Mulvihill, who caught up with various celebs at the opening celebration of Into the Woods at the Delacorte.

When asked about eating at fast food giant Chick-fil-A, which has been in the news non-stop ever since the company’s president Dan Cathy confirmed his antigay position on marriage, the former Sex and the City star said, "People who are against other people's civil rights, I have no interest in their chicken. No chicken!"

Even when posed with the question of what she would do if Chick-fil-A offered the best chicken ever Nixon stood firm in her stance against the company that has given millions of dollars in donations to antigay groups.

"I don't really think that Chick-Fil-A perhaps is the best chicken you can have --even if it were, I could have a slightly less auspicious grade of chicken in order to protect other people's, and my own, civil rights,” Nixon said.

The Good Wife costar and fellow out LGBT celeb Alan Cumming also weighed in on the Chick-fil-A kerfluflle saying, "It's not just about freedom of speech. Bigotry is not included in freedom of speech, to me. When people are giving money to actively persecute other people, I think the public should know about that and shame them. This whole "freedom of speech" argument is absolute shit."
