The driving force behind The L Word andThe Real L Word Ilene Chaiken has sold a crime drama about a San Francisco-based game developer who consults on anti-crime task force, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Over the past few years Chaiken has developed a couple of different shows that never came to fruition including Quean, aGirl with the Dragon Tattoo-esque show about badass computer hacker, and Hail Mary, a suburban mother cum detective show that was set to star Minnie Driver, according to THR. Prior to those series she had developed ideas for a lesbian-themed medical drama entitled Rhodes to Recovery and for a CW show entitled Confessions of a Back-Up Dancer.
Chaiken will write and executive produce the new crime series with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum.
Meanwhile there’s no word yet as to whether or not The Real L Word, which just finished its third season, will get a fourth season.
