The beloved lesbian witch from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Willow, is on a quest to bring magic back into the world in her own titular spin-off comic book, which launches November 21. The five-issue miniseries, helmed by Buffy creator Joss Whedon, is titled Willow: Wonderland, and follows the world's most powerful witch on her mission to return magic to the world after the final season of Buffy brought about a planet devoid of magic.

Entertainment Weekly has a sneak preview of issue #1's first three pages, including the ethereal, gorgeous cover image below. According to EW, which first broke news of the series in April, Willow wants the magic back for both altruistic and selfish reasons.

"She really misses just being a witch and just doing what she used to do," writer Jeff Parker told EW. "She doesn't really know what she's looking for or how she's going to do it. Her ego is pretty big at this point, and she thinks she can just figure it out for herself. So she goes charging into a chaotic universe where magic is all that matters, really."
