At the inaugural gala for the Center for Reproductive Rights last night, comedienne Tina Fey added her own biting critique to the GOP's war on women's rights. In her trademark style of a pointed-yet-nearly-hysterical-rant, Fey exclaimed, "If I have to listen to one more grey-faced man with a two-dollar haircut tell me what rape is, I'm gonna lose my mind!"

The Emmy-award winning writer and actress has a few points of clarification for Todd Akin, the Republican Missouri senate hopeful whose infamous comments about "legitimate rape" could very well have lost him (and hopefully his entire backwards party) the election.

"Todd Akin claims that women can't really get pregnant from a legitimate rape," Fey recounts, "because the body secretes hormones… You know what? I can't even finish this sentence without getting dumber. It's making me dumber when I say it. But it's something about the body not being able to get pregnant when it's under physical stress. Mr. Akin, I think you are confusing the phrase 'legitimate rape' with the phrase 'competitive gymnastics.'"
