American Horror Story fanatics never fear! FX has renewed Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s twisted series for a third season, and its current, award-winning star Jessica Lange will be back for the next season, according to Deadline.
The second season of the creepfest American Horror Story: Asylum is currently about halfway through its season and costars out actress Sarah Paulson as a lesbian journalist imprisoned in a mental institution circa the 1960s. The series also stars Chloe Sevigny as a nymph, Lily Rabe as repressed nun in love with a former Nazi doctor (James Cromwell) and so much more. It’s really hard to know how Murphy and company will push the envelope to terrorize viewers in their living rooms more than they already are.
“With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries,” FX president John Landgraf said, according to Deadline.
Lange, who plays the sadistic Sister Jude in Asylum, won the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award and the Emmy for her portrayal of Constance in the original American Horror Story.
