The elections that actually matter have come and gone for now, but if you’ve still got election fever and you’re not putting your money or your voting power on The Voice or X Factor contestants there’s always the prestigious People’s Choice Awards.

The elections that actually matter have come and gone for now, but if you’ve still got election fever and you’re not putting your money or your voting power on The Voice or X Factor contestants there’s always the prestigious People’s Choice Awards.

The good news is that there are plenty of gay lady friendly or adjacent finalists up for People’s Choice Awards this year. Here’s a break down of some of the more LGBT-related or relevant nominees. So check them out and get voting – or don’t. With all of the gains for marriage equality, plus Tammy Baldwin becoming the first openly gay Senator ever that’s a pretty damned good election year. Will it matter if Ellen gets another People’s Choice?

Vote here for this very life-altering election. The People's Choice Awards will air Jan. 9, on CBS.

Favorite Movie:

“The Amazing Spider-Man”
“The Avengers”
“The Dark Knight Rises”
“The Hunger Games”
“Snow White and the Huntsman”

We're going with The Hunger Games since Katniss kicks ass and looks fab in a pair of boots and Jennifer Lawrence is pretty much the best thing to happen to young Hollywood in years.

Favorite Movie Actress:

Anne Hathaway
Emma Stone
Jennifer Lawrence
Mila Kunis
Scarlett Johansson

This is a tough category considering all of these women are excellent actresses who've played tough, witty, bad-ass or even bisexual or lesbian adjacent - see Scar-Jo in Vicki Cristina Barcelona or Mila Kunis in Black Swan. That said, here's a photo of the lovely Mila.
