In 2012, Maddow saw her highest-ever scores in total viewers. And that’s not all! The out anchor kicked off 2012 by being named this year’s recipient of the prestigious John Steinbeck Award, given to public figures who exemplify the late author’s values. Now, Maddow ends the year being nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Spoken Word Album” category, for her audiobook recording of the NY Times bestseller, Drift: The Unmooring Of American Military Power.
