Top 10 Hottest Butches of 2012

We had such great response to last year’s Top Hot Butches list that we decided to make it annual thing and take a look at the women who’ve stirred our loins this year besides the usual butchy suspects like Rachel Maddow (who, of course, would top this list if you all voted), Wanda Sykes, and Ellen DeGeneres. Since butchy gals of all persuasions still get the short shrift even in lesbian media we figured we’d profile 10 butch women you should have gotten to know more of in 2012.

And while the women listed may not self identify as butch they are certainly are in the eye of this beholder.

She rocked The Voice this year and made many a fan with her cute, butchy swagger and killer vocal chords. She said, "Boom! I'm gay" on national television, made button-down shirts popular with girls worldwide – and showed us that wearing bright colors doesn't make you a femme. Boom! We’re in love.
