Watch: 'American Horror Story' Lightens Up with Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and 'The Name Game'

It’s about time American Horror Story lightened up for a minute with a lively rendition of the 60s classic “The Name Game!” Poor Sarah Paulson--or anyone on the show for that matter—hasn’t cracked a smile since her first four minutes of airtime during the premiere. But last night we got to see Paulson’s beleaguered, tortured lesbian Lana not only grin a little, but bust out a few moves to Jessica Lange’s Sister Jude’s rousing version of the tune in a big mental institution production number that could have only been better if they broke out into a Busby Berkeley-style bird’s eye view of the whole affair.

It’s about time American Horror Story lightened up for a minute with a lively rendition of the 60s classic “The Name Game!” Poor Sarah Paulson--or anyone on the show for that matter—hasn’t cracked a smile since her first four minutes of airtime during the premiere. But last night we got to see out actress Paulson’s beleaguered, tortured lesbian Lana  not only grin a little, but bust out a few moves to Jessica Lange’s Sister Jude’s rousing version of the tune in a big mental institution production number that could have only been better if they broke out into a Busby Berkeley-style bird’s-eye shot of the whole affair.

Never fear though. Things only perked up long enough for Sister Jude to come back from her shock therapy buzz. It all went back to being sufficiently creepy, dark and f*cked up after this.
