Following Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s bang up job at the Golden Globes Sunday campaigns are likely underway to petition for them to host every awards show, Superbowl, inauguration and Bris from this moment on, but even considering their combined genius, Jodie Foster managed to hijack the evening.

From Amy and Tina to Jodie’s big “announcement” here are the six biggest things that happened at this year’s Globes.

6) Lena Dunham and her Shoes

Two-time winner for best actress in a comedy and for creating the year’s best comedy Girls, Lena Dunham very charmingly demonstrated that she can not walk in heels. Proving once and for all she really is the “every girl” Lena struggled to the podium in whatever decidedly non-sensible shoes she was sporting.

5) Darcy St. Fudge and Damien Francisco

Although they were the hosts Amy and Tina still managed to crash the show as altar egos Darcy St. Fudge and Damien Francisco (respectively). Darcy and Damien were robbed as best actress and actor nominees for Dog President. Maybe it’s just me but I kind of want to make out with Damien’s mustache.

4) Jennifer Lawrence Pisses Off Meryl Streep Devotees

Winner for best actress in a comedy for Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence, latched on to her Globe and immediately said, “I beat Meryl," ( a quote from The First Wives Club). Although J-Law recently told Vanity Fair that she’s pretty much obsessed with Meryl (who isn’t?), fans of the doyenne of Hollywood ranted all over Twitter about how disrespectful Jennifer was, “nobody insults Meryl” etc… I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Meryl likely would have laughed and tipped her hat to Jennifer had she been there.

2) Amy and Tina's Opening Monologue

Only Amy and Tina could walk away from ripping on the likes of James Cameron and James Franco fairly unscathed. These two are unstoppable together. I love the way Tina calls Amy her "nemesis."

1) Jodie Foster Comes Out - Makes Everyone Cry

Lena Dunham had her moments, Amy and Tina proved they’re the best hosts ever, J-Lo stopped the show wearing the sexiest doily ever but it became Jodie Foster’s night when she officially came out of the closet in a masterpiece of obfuscation that will have queer studies classes and linguists dissecting her speech for decades to come. Not only did Jodie thank her former partner Cydney Bernard, her two sons’ other mother, but she announced that she is single, sparking the fantasy lives of hopeful lesbians who’ve adored her since she starred in Foxes.  Here’s Jodie’s masterful coming out that sent half of the room into tears.
