It’s a sad day for fans of the Krysten Ritter/Dreama Walker starrer Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 as ABC has yanked the comedy, the brainchild of out showrunner Nahnatchka Khan, from its schedule beginning next week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While ABC has pulled remaining Don’t Trust the B episodes it intends to double up on episodes of Happy Endings, although the fate of that show is in the balance as well, according to THR.

Don’t Trust the B joined ABC’s line-up as a mid-season last year and has since suffered under scheduling changes.

The quirky comedy about Chloe, a party girl with questionable morals -- Ritter as the titular ‘B’-- and her wide-eyed Midwestern roomie June (Walker) costars James Van Der Beek as an overly self-confident washed-up version of himself who happens to be Chloe’s best friend.

Showrunner Khan is an out lesbian who worked on American Dad, Unfabulous and Malcolm in the Middle prior to creating Don’t Trust the B.

Van Der Beek tweeted about ABC pulling the series earlier today.

"Sad to say ABC has pulled #Apt23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we’ve basically been cancelled," he Tweeted. "And please, no bashing ABC. While I’m sure no one there would say they think they nailed it when it came to programming #Apt23 this year...You've got to give ABC props for ever picking us up in the first place. They took a shot at something original & edgy. I respect them for it."
