From director Katie Shannon comes The Morning After, a short film about what happens next for a lesbian couple in the wake of infidelity and resentment. The film stars Amy DePaola as Sam and Allison Faythe as Lauren, the couple who hash out the gritty details of their relationship on the rocks.
A graduate of Emerson College, Shannon is the creator of 617 the Series, a comedic web series about 20-somethings in Boston. Shannon is currently in post-production on her first feature documentary 113 Days, in which she follows the Stonehill Women’s Lacrosse team’s 2012 season.
Shannon’s short film A Square with Three Sides was an official selection of the Chicago Reeling Film Festival, The Santa Barbara Outrageous LGBT Film Festival, The London LGBT Film Festival, The San Diego LGBT Film Festival, and the Melbourne LGBT Film Festival.
The Morning After is currently in festival submissions, but you can see it right here.
