It seems like every week we’re reporting on Jane Lynch’s latest project. She may be officially the busiest woman in Hollywood since she’s now executive producing the digital series Dropping the Soap with Web Therapy’s Lisa Kudrow. Lynch is the series’ star playing the head of the network that airs an outmoded soap opera at a time when that form of daytime TV is tanking, according to Variety.

A series that will be made available to the public only online --in the vein of Netflix’s House of Cards—the show will focus on the faux soap opera Colliding Lives.

Lynch, who is slated to host Sean Hayes’ Hollywood Game Night and make her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan in Annie, in addition to her ongoing gig as Glee’s acerbic Sue Sylvester, called making a digital series “guerilla TV making.”

“Nobody made any money on this thing,” Lynch said, according to Variety. “You don’t do it unless it’s fun. … It harkens back to the old days, and you’re doing it for the joy of creating something. The smaller the budget, the more people seem to be committed because you invest so much of yourself. It’s not about a paycheck.”

The series is also executive produced by out producers Dan Bucatinsky (Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal) and Don Roos (director of The Opposite of Sex), who’ve also worked with Kudrow on Web Therapy.

Dropping the Soap will debut online this spring, reports Variety.
