Angie Harmon, who plays Detective Jane Rizzoli on TNT's lesbian-subtext-heavy Rizzoli & Isles, has previously acknowledged that she and her costar, Sasha Alexander, and the show's writers, regularly play up the sensual tension between the two female leads. It's likely part of what's earned the show a die-hard lesbian fanbase that's eager to write not-so-subtle fan fiction where the chemistry between Rizzoli and medical examiner Dr. Maura Isles is more than just implied.

But appearing on Conan last night, Harmon confessed that she's tired of always being cast as the butch member of these sapphic pairings.

"I'm always the man in this very lesbionic relationship," Harmon told O'Brien. "I want to be sexy, I want to be the girl one time — or maybe twice."

We'll let the stereotype that all lesbian relationships include a partner who's "the man" slide if Harmon will throw a couple more of those sultry smiles our way.
