As someone who’s seen Blue is the Warmest Color twice -- for work, I swear!— I admit that the much-touted sex scenes made me wish I were in my late teens and falling in love for the first time. Devoid of a soundtrack that would typically mask the grunting and moaning, and seemingly endless – especially when viewed in a busy theater with strangers – the scenes between Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos feel loaded with emotion and backstory. The film's several sex scenes depict the pair in at least a dozen various positions –including scissoring--that again hearken to first love and sexual awakening when you just want to try EVERYTHING!
That said, the folks at Posture, a new queer publication, aren’t as forgiving as I am about the sex scenes, and they’ve put together a humorous video of lesbians reacting to Blue’s sex scenes.
