Actress Elizabeth Banks just endeared herself to us even more. She’s filmed a video for the Obama campaign extolling the virtues of Planned Parenthood, which she says provided her with healthcare when she didn’t have any. She admits going on birth control, but says it was for migraines and a “heavy flow.”
Banks, star of everything from The 40-year-old Virgin to W to The Hunger Games, reminds viewers that Romney disagrees with contraception provided by Planned Parenthood and is prepared to cut funding for the program, even though many of its services are non-controversial and include things like cancer screenings.
“President Obama has not compromised women’s rights,” Banks says. “That’s why President Obama needs to stay in office.”
