Howard Stern Goes on Pro-Gay Stump Inspired by DeGeneres / One Million Moms Controversy- Listen
Button-pushing radio personality and upcoming cohost of America’s Got Talent Howard Stern, used One Million Moms threat to boycott JCPenney over its hiring of Ellen DeGeneres as its spokesperson, as a springboard for a 12-minute mini tirade on his Sirius XM radio show about social conservatives’ outdated and harmful stance toward LGBT rights.
Stern began his stump for equality saying that while he’s not a huge DeGeneres fan himself, he would stop at nothing to defend her as the JCPenney spokesperson. He went on to discuss David Letterman’s decidedly unfunny joke about Rosie O’Donnell that played on her being “fat and a lesbian,” all but calling what Letterman said bullying.
Calling antigay stances ridiculous and outmoded Stern demanded to know who, in this day and age, doesn’t personally have a friend or family member who is gay.
From there, Stern and cohost Robin Quivers discussed bullying, inspiring Stern to call antigay Republican Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum and former hopeful Michele Bachmann, “the worst people on the planet,” for spewing hate that feeds bullying and therefore lending to LGBT suicide.
“They make these kids so miserable they’re killing themselves,” Stern remarked. He went on to say that Santorum should be drummed out of the country and treated publicly derided as the lunatics they are.

Okay, This is Good, No, Great!

LMAO
mysogynist to the resque, brilliant.
Bravo! (and not in the TV sense of that word)!
Thank you on behalf of God and myself, and my husband, this year hubby and I are together in love for 36 years and married in Canada. We both American citizens, so therefore legal strangers across our homeland USA, thanks to the bigots your spoke out against who cling to the inhumane, immoral, irrational, evil, unChristlike, and unAmerican myth of heterosexual-supremacy. The haters get votes, power, and money being so hateful, yes indeed, but it's their audience who cheers them on that is even uglier than the bigots sick ideology. You are so right to point out the similarities to Adolph Hitler who demonized fellow Germans who were not heterosexual, Jewish, etc. In America today, non-heterosexuals are the last despised minority, public target numero uno. Without us to hate, the bigots are nothing, and they know it. That's why they're so loud and are trying to destroy our families so vigorously. Without us, they're unemployed.
Since He Was First Heard
I haven't listened to Howard in a while, but I used to listen alot during drive time when he first moved from Washington radio to New York radio. That's got to be over 20 years ago. Even then, despite the shocking and outrageous persona, he's consistently been gay friendly. What Howard values most is people being honest about themselves.
Howard
Howard Stern has been pro gay for so many years. Unfortunately so many gays believe the hype of advocacy groups and don't actually listen themselves. If they did they would have seen he treats everyone equally - gay, straight, black, white, retarded, and big fat men with high pitched voices.
Howard Stern Brilliant!
I could agree more with Howard Stern. Thank you sir for how I and many other feel into words and on the Radio.
Love Howard Stern. He's also
